August marks the start of The Rescue Effect, the ASPCA’s national campaign dedicated to helping more animals find loving homes. When you adopt or foster a pet, you’re freeing up space and resources for the shelter to give more animals a chance. Help one, help many — that’s The Rescue Effect. Learn more and join The Rescue Effect today.

As a part of The Rescue Effect, we would love to share some wonderful adoptable animals with you from our facilities nationwide! One of them might just be the right match for you.

You can also help by sharing this page with friends and family who are considering pet adoption. These dogs can’t wait to meet their future families!

If you aren’t ready to adopt, you can still make a huge impact on animals in need by fostering! Thanks to The Rescue Effect, fostering not only helps dogs and cats learn what home life is like, but it also opens space for more animals in need at the shelter. You can foster for the ASPCA in Columbus, Ohio, New York City, Los Angeles (cat fosters only) and Weaverville, North Carolina (dog fosters only). You may also be able to sign up to foster with your local shelter!
