Meet Nectarine! She is the perfect blend of sweet and mellow with just a splash of silliness. She may be a little shy at first, but once she feels comfortable, she’s a total sweetheart— and she absolutely shines in a home environment!

During an overnight sleepover and even a hotel stay with volunteers, Nectarine showed off her best houseguest behavior. She was calm, quiet, housetrained and an all-around couch potato. She slept in the human bed like a pro, rode perfectly in the car, handled the elevator like a champ and enjoyed lounging on the patio. Her sleepover buddy Tracy says, “She is lovely! Walks great, so sweet!”

Here at the Cruelty Recovery Center, Nectarine has proven herself to be a true gem in our doggy playgroups, participating in many of them! She has even been a “helper dog” for fearful pups, gently encouraging them without overwhelming. She loves low-energy, bouncy chase games, can “read the room” beautifully and has made countless dog friends. With her calm, gentle and innocent nature, it’s no surprise she’s considered a staff favorite.

Nectarine is a mild-mannered girl who is easygoing, quiet and content. She has excellent leash skills, a calm demeanor and a gentle heart that makes her an easy, lovable companion. She can be a little cautious with new things, but her confidence grows every day with support and love.

Adopters should know that Nectarine has been diagnosed with luxating patellas and may require surgery. The ASPCA will cover all medical-related costs and supplies for this procedure. While this is a little hurdle, it’s one she can overcome with the love and care of a dedicated family. She’s ready to find a comfy bed, a safe home and someone to support her as she heals. In return, she’ll fill your life with calm, gentle love and endless snuggles. With the right home, this sweet girl will not just recover, but she will truly thrive!
