Summer may be over, but we are continuing to celebrate The Rescue Effect, our national campaign dedicated to helping animals in need find loving homes! By adopting or fostering an animal, you are helping to free up space and resources for shelters to help even more animals. Help one, help many — that’s The Rescue Effect.

If you aren’t ready to adopt, you can still join The Rescue Effect and make an incredible impact as a foster caregiver! Fostering is another important way to open up more space at shelters, which then lets them help more animals in need. You can foster for the ASPCA in Columbus, Ohio, New York City, Los Angeles (cat fosters only) and Weaverville, North Carolina (dog fosters only). You may also be able to sign up to foster with your local shelter!
