Truffle

Meet Truffle, a gentle, silly and oh-so-sweet girl! She has been through a lot in her young life, but she is ready to find a patient and loving home to show her just how kind the world can be.

Truffle was rescued from a suspected cruelty case earlier this year, and while she’s made incredible progress, she can still feel a little unsure in busy or high-stimulus environments. New sights and sounds sometimes make her pause, but with gentle reassurance, she bounces back quickly and shows off her goofy, affectionate self. She’s looking for an adopter who will be patient, kind and willing to give her the time and space she needs to feel safe. In return, she’ll give you endless sweetness and love.

Around people, Truffle is friendly and social, though she’s not clingy. She likes having her independence but blossoms when she has a trusted person by her side. She thrives on engagement and absolutely adores learning new tricks and playing training games — she’s a little smarty-pants who loves to make her people proud!

With other dogs, Truffle shines brightest. She’s been in many of our doggy playgroups and is known as a total rock star! She loves rough-and-rowdy play with plenty of run-and-chase games, and she’s even been a helper dog for pups who are shy or unsure about play. Her calm, confident energy brings out the best in her canine friends. In her future home, she would love to have a confident dog sibling to guide her and be her buddy.

Truffle has also shown promising houseguest manners! When taken out regularly, she didn’t have a single accident, and we suspect she may already be housetrained. She can be a delicate eater, nibbling at her food, but she happily eats when she has her person nearby for comfort. At night, she transforms into a cuddlebug, snuggling close on the pillows and sleeping soundly by your side. And don’t forget her favorite hobby — splashing in the kiddie pool on sunny days! She’s truly a water-loving girl at heart.
