Kick Off Adopt a Shelter Dog Month With Us!

Every October, the ASPCA is proud to celebrate Adopt a Shelter Dog Month! It’s the best time of year to consider adopting a new best canine friend. We’d love for you to take a look at some of our adoptable companions below!

This is also the last month of The Rescue Effect campaign. By adopting just one animal from a shelter, you are helping to save the lives of many more! Every time a pet leaves the shelter through adoption or fostering, space and resources open up to help other animals in need. Help one, help many — that’s The Rescue Effect.

As a part of The Rescue Effect campaign, we’re teaming up with our friends at Walker’s Shortbread to spread the word! Together, we’re spotlighting a few dogs from our facilities across the country, and we hope that one of them is your paw-fect match. These dog companions are available for adoption in New York, Ohio and North Carolina!

New York City

Negroni

This beautiful girl is eager to meet you! Negroni has a joyful personality and loves meeting new people. If you aren’t ready to adopt right now, you should consider becoming a foster! You can make a major difference for animals in need as a foster caregiver.
