In 2025, approximately 25,000 American horses ended up in the wrong hands and were trucked over our borders to be slaughtered for human consumption. Horse slaughter is inherently inhumane and overwhlemingly unpopular with the public. Until Congress passes a law permanently banning the slaughter of American horses, no horse is safe.
