Join Us in the Festivities — Adopt a Shelter Cat Month Is Here!

June is one of the most wonderful months of the year — Adopt a Shelter Cat Month! To celebrate, we are partnering with our friends at ARM & HAMMER™ Cat Litter to shine a light on a few adoptable cats who could use the extra attention. If you’d like to learn more about how to help this month, visit aspca.org/catmonth!
These sweet cats are all available for adoption in New York City, and they are eager to find the homes of their dreams! Read on to find out more about these special feline friends.
Eggshell

This sweet lady is eager to meet you! With love and some patience, Eggshell will blossom in your home and show you her playful side as she adorably chases after a laser toy. Playtime and tasty treats are the way to her heart, and soon enough, she’ll be asking you for lots of cheek scratches and pets. If Eggshell sounds like the purr-fect match for you, visit her profile to learn more!
Pomelo

There’s no cat as cute as our Pomelo! As soon as she hears the crinkle of a treat bag, she’ll come running to your side. She loves to take catnaps in the sun and enjoys playing with wand toys. She also loves being with her friends, both people and other cats alike. Pomelo is vision impaired, but it doesn’t slow her down — she is a true explorer! Visit her profile to learn more about adopting her!
Hudson

Hudson is our sweet, senior guy who is ready to cuddle with his loved ones. There’s no lap that he won’t want to curl up on! He’s an affectionate cat who also loves playtime, especially when he gets to chase after a string toy. There’s no one quite like him, and you’ll be sure to agree once you meet him. Check out Hudson’s profile to learn how to adopt him!
Loaf

Loaf is a true expert in relaxation and knows exactly how to loaf around! She’s also quite charming and loves being the center of attention. She has an independent side too and can keep herself entertained during the day. If you appreciate a buddy who is confident in what she wants in life, look no further than Loaf! Learn more about her over on her profile!
If you don’t live in the tri-state area, but are interested in celebrating Adopt a Shelter Cat Month and meeting a new feline companion, you can check out your local shelter or visit our friends at Animal Care Centers of NYC or the Los Angeles County’s Animal Care Centers.
If you aren’t ready for adoption, you can still make an incredible impact by becoming a foster caregiver! Fosters help cats like these learn what home life is like and show off their true personalities. You can foster for the ASPCA in Columbus, Ohio, New York City, Los Angeles and Weaverville, North Carolina (dog fosters only)!
