Isaac is one of those dogs you only need a few words to describe—and those words are “a friendly guy!” Greeting both his best buds and strangers with a big smile, this active and energetic dog wants nothing more than a little love and affection—and the chance to use his legs, too!
Big fan of: People! Isaac is as sweet as they come and has so far charmed his way into the hearts of everyone he’s met during his time at the ASPCA. But, while Isaac loves anyone who even glances his way, he especially loves the people he knows are his. Isaac’s previous owner reported he liked to stick right by their side and at night could often be found sleeping in bed with them! On his list of favorite things, right below “people” falls “playtime.” Isaac is a fun-loving dude who never says no to a squeaky toy, rope toy or tennis ball! Full of energy, Isaac especially loves games where he gets to run around and burn some calories. Always wanting to be up and on the go, Isaac would also enjoy long outdoor adventures where he can get some energy out and explore! An excursion to a local park, where he can run to his heart’s content sounds like a great day to Isaac! And, if that isn’t enough, Isaac is truly as smart as a whip and has a rock-solid sit.
Working on: His walking skills! Isaac enjoys few things more than getting outside and feeling the sunshine on his back, and the loud city sounds don’t seem to bother him a smidge. Having his harness and leash put on aren’t as fun for this guy, and when Isaac is outside he can pull pretty hard. Some yummy treats to reward Isaac for donning his walking equipment and not pulling would go a long way with this food-motivated boy!
Dream home: Isaac would do best with an active adopter who can keep him busy with daily fun and exercise—and maybe bring him to the dog park often, too! Isaac has reportedly lived well with two small dogs, and even remembered most of his polite doggy manners when a gaggle of ten kindergartners stood in front of his kennel. If you think Isaac may be a good match for your family, come meet him today!
