Clover

Meet Clover! This 2-year-old, 75-pound gentle giant has a goofy personality, a big heart and a serious love for chin scratches! This handsome boy has spent time in a home and foster setting, and he has shown just how sweet, easygoing and affectionate he can be.

Clover is a total cuddle bug who loves being close to his people. He may happily sit at your feet, lean in for some affection or simply plop down beside you to hang out. He is friendly with adults and children and has done wonderfully around little ones. He is also a very social guy who enjoys meeting other dogs and has experience spending time with dogs of all different sizes.

Here at the CRC, Clover has joined many of our doggy playgroups and has shown that he loves to romp, wrestle and have a good time with his canine friends! He can be a rough-and-rowdy player, especially when paired with other high-energy dogs, so he may need a little help taking breaks and remembering to slow things down. If there is a resident dog in the home, a meet-and-greet is always recommended to make sure everyone is a good match.

When he isn't busy playing, Clover is perfectly happy entertaining himself with his toys or going on a leisurely walk. He walks nicely on a harness, is crate-trained, housetrained and has done well free-roaming in a home. He is also wonderfully quiet and has proven to be a very calm best friend. More than anything, Clover loves his people and being close to them. At the end of the day, what Clover seems to want most is to be part of someone's life and have a person of his own to love.

Clover does have some skin and food sensitivities, and he is currently on a special diet to help keep him feeling his best. With the right care and plenty of love, this gentle, goofy boy is ready to settle into a home where he can simply be himself.
