Meet Midas, a 1-year-old, 6-pound fluffball with the sweetest face, the cutest little ear tufts and a personality that is blooming more and more every day.

When Midas first arrived, she was a very shy girl who preferred to stay tucked away in her carrier and watch the world from a safe distance. But look at her now! This sweet little lady has made so much progress and has gone from hiding when people approach to running to the door to greet her favorite humans.

Midas is still a sensitive girl, and she may need a little time to feel comfortable with new people and new touches. But once she decides you're safe, you'll start seeing those adorable little glimpses of affection — lifting her fluffy butt into pets, learning to headbutt a hand and even flopping onto her side for attention. She especially enjoys getting pets while she's busy eating her favorite thing in the entire world: lickable treats!

And speaking of treats, Midas has apparently become confident enough to develop a little bit of an ornery side, too. She has been known to try her very best to steal tubes of lickable treats straight from the pouch. We can't even be mad about it because watching this once-timid girl become confident enough to be a tiny treat thief has been pretty adorable.

Midas enjoys cozy carrier naps, investigating toys and hanging out where she can keep an eye on everything around her. She may not be the cat who immediately climbs into your lap, but her trust feels incredibly special.
