Pritchard

Pritchard is a gentle, friendly boy with a serious appreciation for the finer things in life: a good brush, plenty of pets and making biscuits whenever he feels happy. When we say he loves being brushed, we mean it! Brush time is one of his favorite ways to spend time with his people, and it’s a great way to become quick friends with this sweet guy.

When Pritchard first arrived in his foster home, he was a little unsure of his new surroundings. He spent his first couple of days finding cozy places to hide and getting comfortable with his new routine. With a little patience and plenty of space to settle in, he started making wonderful progress. Before long, he was coming out to greet his foster, leaning into pets and enjoying their daily brushing sessions. He has learned that people can be pretty great! These days, he’s rarely hiding when his favorite humans are in the room.

Pritchard is a social guy who enjoys having company, whether that means sitting near his people, investigating a new visitor or hanging out with other cats. He’s met several new people and has been friendly with them, too! He also enjoys the company of other cats. He may not be looking for a wrestling match or a game of chase, but he’s happy to rub up against his feline friends and spend time nearby. He has also done well meeting his foster’s dog when she is calm. If she gets a little too excited or up in Pritchard’s face, he will simply choose to move away. He appreciates having the space to take things at his own pace, and he’s good at letting you know when he needs a little break.

One of the things Pritchard’s foster loves most about him is how clearly he communicates. He’s easy to understand and will let you know when he’s ready for pets, when he wants to hang out nearby or when he needs some time to himself. If he’s uncomfortable, he’ll simply remove himself from the situation. He appreciates having the freedom to approach people on his own terms — the more time he has to build trust, the more confident and social he becomes.

Pritchard would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a gentle, easygoing cat who enjoys being part of the household. He could be a lovely first-time feline friend, too! Whether he’s making biscuits beside you, soaking up a brushing session or quietly keeping you company, Pritchard is a sweet boy who has a lot of love to give.
