Meet Vibrato: Professional Couch Critic, Certified Hug Dealer, and Cozy Queen

If there were an Olympic event for lounging, Vibrato would already have the gold medal hanging above her favorite spot on the couch.

This sweet bulldog has perfected the art of cozy living. Her dream day? Sleeping in just long enough to earn a morning belly rub, enjoying breakfast, supervising whatever you're doing from the nearest blanket, spending some time soaking up the sunshine on the porch, playing with her favorite plush toys before dinner and ending the night curled up beside her favorite people.

Vibrato doesn't just love people — she adores them. She's the kind of dog who believes personal space is optional when hugs are available. If you're sitting down, she'll likely find a way to be involved. If you're having a bad day, she'll quietly climb beside you and remind you that everything is a little better with a bulldog cuddle.

She's wonderfully opinionated, full of hilarious expressions and surprisingly chatty without actually barking! Expect little grumbles, sighs and funny noises that make it feel like she's carrying on an entire conversation with you.

While she's curious about the world, Vibrato likes to experience it at her own pace. She's a stubborn little lady who simply appreciates being asked instead of told. Once she feels safe, her goofy, joyful personality shines brighter every day.

Vibrato would be happiest in a home with a yard where she can wander, sniff, and confidently declare, "Yes, this kingdom belongs to me." Apartment life has been a little overwhelming for her with all the unfamiliar sounds, smells and passing dogs, but give her a yard of her own and she's much more comfortable.

She has walked in proximity around other dogs in her foster home and is generally content doing her own thing. At the shelter, she's been selective about her canine friends but has enjoyed playgroups with dogs she knows and likes!

A few more things to know about our cozy queen:

• Popcorn and watermelon are elite snacks.
• Plush toys are always better than squeaky toys.
• Thunderstorms are scary, and she'd love someone to remind her she's safe.
• She appreciates having the TV on while you're away.
• A treat in her crate makes alone time much easier.
• Women have absolutely stolen her heart — she lights up meeting them and happily accepts all the affection they have to offer.

Vibrato has already overcome quite a bit in her young life. She arrived in our care pregnant and did an amazing job raising her puppies, who have all since found loving homes. Now it's finally her turn to be someone's baby.

She has also had surgery to help correct her eyelids and another procedure to make breathing easier, which are common needs for bulldogs. Because she has chronic dry eye, she'll need eye drops for the rest of her life to keep her eyes healthy and comfortable. Her foster has found that she does great with the eye drops, and aside from that daily routine, she's a happy, healthy girl who's ready to enjoy life.
