Meet Frankenstein! Frankenstein is a one-of-a-kind kitten with a look as unforgettable as his story. This brave little guy came to us with some old, healed injuries — he’s missing half of his tail and has a super cool split tongue! Both are fully healed and don’t require any ongoing care, they just make him extra special and totally unique.

When Frankenstein first arrived, he was understandably nervous about his new surroundings. He spent a lot of time hiding in his kennel, but once he moved into a quiet office, his true personality started to shine! He quickly warmed up to his caregivers, rubbing against them for attention, giving headbutts and playfully chasing spring toys around the room.

Since returning to the group housing area, Frankenstein has continued to make wonderful progress. He’s showing more confidence every day, especially during one-on-one time with staff and volunteers. He’s still learning to feel comfortable being handled or picked up, but with patience, a few tasty treats and gentle encouragement, he is realizing it may not be so scary after all.

Frankenstein really enjoys the company of other cats and would likely do best in a home with a friendly feline companion to help him continue building confidence. He can be nervous in new environments, so he’ll need patient adopters who can give him time and space to settle in at his own pace.
