Sgaeyl

Meet Sgaeyl (pronounced “Sky-uhl”), named after a loyal, fierce dragon from a popular fantasy series. Just like his namesake, this boy is destined to soar into your heart!

At just 7 months old and 35 pounds, this grey-coated cutie is still finding his wings. Sgaeyl can be a little shy when meeting new people, but if you come bearing yummy treats, it won’t be long before he’s wiggling over for gentle pets, playing with squeaky toys and showing off his absolutely adorable speckled nose.

Sgaeyl recently spent a weekend in a foster home and was a wonderful guest! He loved snuggling in bed all night, got along beautifully with the resident cats and had a blast spending time in a home environment. During this short foster stay, he showed just how affectionate, curious and playful he truly is.

Sgaeyl loves the company of other pups and has done especially well in playgroups with confident adult dogs who can help show him the ropes. He can get a little nervous when big dogs are zooming or wrestling nearby, but when he’s given a little time, he’ll happily trot around the yard with his tail swishing like he owns the place.

On leash, Sgaeyl is still learning to be brave. Sometimes he walks with a little hesitation, especially in new places or with new people. Every now and then, he needs a helping hand (or a lift!) when the world feels too big. But with a confident doggy buddy by his side or a pocket full of snacks, he’s well on his way to becoming a brave little adventurer.
