Pumpkin is a handsome, goofy gentleman with a heart as warm as his name! This social butterfly loves people, kids and other dogs — and he’s got the cuddles and kisses to prove it. Whether you’re a lifelong friend or someone he’s just met, Pumpkin is all tail wags, happy smiles and love.

Pumpkin is a low-energy pup who enjoys spending his day snoozing, sunbathing and just being your loyal sidekick. He is currently thriving in a foster home, where he has been showing off his sweet, snuggly personality. He loves to cuddle and will happily climb into bed with you — he’s convinced every bed is his bed, and if you happen to fit too, that’s just fine with him! He settles easily in his crate when needed, but most days he prefers napping by your side or exploring the yard. At night, if he gets warm, he’ll often tuck himself into his crate to cool off. He has even done wonderfully when left out of his crate while his fosters were away for short periods. He is fully housetrained and does great with regular potty breaks, especially first thing in the morning and before bed.

Pumpkin has met young children, ages 5 to 10, and adored them all. He is also living in foster with a very tiny resident dog and has been absolutely amazing around him — gentle, respectful and friendly. He has participated in our doggy playgroups with other pups and has shown great social skills. If there is another dog in your home, we always recommend a meet-and-greet, but Pumpkin’s friendly nature makes him a great candidate for a multi-dog household.

Adopters should be aware that while in our care, Pumpkin had low-grade mast cell tumors successfully removed. While this condition doesn’t usually impact lifespan, he may develop future masses that should be monitored and removed as needed. Fortunately, this sweet boy doesn’t let anything slow him down — he’s too busy being your handsome, hilarious and lovable companion!

If you’re looking for a dog who is equal parts snugglebug, couch potato and clown, Pumpkin may be your paw-fect match. He’s smart, funny and full of heart — just a good, good dog waiting for a place (and person) to call home. Fill out an adoption application to schedule a meet-and-greet with him today!
