This Sunday, November 19, the ASPCA is partnering with New York City tattoo artist and television personality Megan Massacre for our fourth “Tats ‘N’ Tails” art and adoption event. The festivities begin at noon and will feature adoptable cats and dogs from the ASPCA Adoption Center (until 5:00 P.M.), a photo booth, prize giveaways and the opportunity to get tattooed by Megan herself. Megan will have a variety of custom animal-themed designs available for $100 tattoos, and she will be generously donating 100% of the profits to the ASPCA. Those who adopt will also be given a t-shirt and entered to win a $1,000 tattoo session with Megan.

The event will take place at Megan’s tattoo shop and lifestyle boutique, Grit N Glory, which is located at 186 Orchard Street in New York City’s Lower East Side neighborhood.

Megan and friends toured our Adoption Center this week and visited with some of our adorable, adoptable residents.

While Megan is best known for appearing on popular shows such as NY Ink and America’s Worst Tattoos, this Sunday, she will be focusing on another passion—giving back to animals in need. “Using my influence and talent to promote animal adoption, and collaborating with the ASPCA to raise awareness about animals in need, is extremely important to me,” said Megan. “As an animal lover and adopter myself, my hope is this Tats ‘N’ Tails continues to inspire others to adopt or contribute to this amazing cause.”

“The ASPCA is excited to once again partner with Megan and her studio for this fun, one-of-a-kind event to find safe and loving homes for shelter animals,” said Gail Buchwald, Senior Vice President of the ASPCA Adoption Center. “We are grateful Megan continues to lend her voice to promote adoption and combat animal cruelty in New York City.”
