Carolyn Strashun

Senior Director, Foundation Partnerships

Carolyn Strashun serves as the ASPCA’s senior director of foundation partnerships, managing the organization’s stewardship of  top institutional donors across the country. Carolyn joined the ASPCA in 2017 and brings over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit and for-profit sectors. Prior to the ASPCA, she held various fundraising positions at education and arts organizations including the David Lynch Foundation, Outward Bound USA, Harlem Stage and Orchestra of St. Luke’s. She started her career in finance, working at Bank of America Merrill Lynch for nearly a decade in various roles including chief operating officer of credit and distressed sales, and earning her CFA designation.

Carolyn received her bachelor’s degree in finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She has served on the boards of the New York Youth Symphony, the International Contemporary Ensemble and the Steering Committee for Young Patrons of Lincoln Center. She also volunteered for Second Chance Rescue NYC for 10 years, where she led a team of adoption counselors. Carolyn lives in Westchester with her husband, daughter and rescue dog, Nori. Aside from volunteering, Carolyn enjoys cooking, baking, walks with her dog and painting watercolor.
