Maroon

Maroon is a beautiful, 2-year-old, 41-pound Husky with striking eyes and a personality that just keeps getting brighter every day!

Maroon is incredibly loving with the people she knows and trusts. While she can initially be a little unsure around unfamiliar people, she responds beautifully to patience, kindness and, of course, a few tasty treats. Once she feels comfortable, she quickly blossoms into an affectionate companion who loves leaning in for pets, soaking up attention and spending time with her favorite people.

Outside is where Maroon truly shines! Whether she's zooming around the play yard, exploring every interesting scent or splashing through puddles after a rainy day, she approaches life with curiosity and joy. She loves to run and explore on her own, but she always makes a point to check back in with her people for reassurance, pets     and a few extra words of encouragement before heading off on her next adventure. It's the sweetest balance of confidence and connection, and one of the many things that makes Maroon so special.

Maroon has flourished in our doggy playgroups. She started as a quieter, more observant participant and has grown into a social, playful girl who loves engaging with other dogs — especially through chase games and energetic play! She'd make a wonderful little sister for another playful pup who enjoys an active playstyle and can keep up with her zoomies.

On walks, Maroon is bright, curious and engaged with the world around her. She may get excited by everything there is to see, but she regularly checks in with her person and clearly enjoys sharing the adventure together.

Maroon came to us after being rescued from a difficult situation earlier in life, and she has since shown incredible resilience. Every day, she grows a little more confident, a little more joyful and a little more ready to embrace all the good things life has to offer.
