Meet Gong! (Although these days he also answers to Gong Gong, Go Go, Gus, Gus Gus, Gustopher... and honestly, if you've ever loved a pet, you know the nickname train has no brakes.)

At 3 and a half years old and 45 pounds, Gong is bulldog through and through. He's equal parts stubborn, sleepy, opinionated and ridiculously affectionate. He firmly believes personal space is optional, which is why you'll often find him directly behind your feet while you're brushing your teeth, making dinner or doing literally anything. Tripping hazard? Maybe. Worth it? Absolutely.

Gong is a world-class snuggler. If there's a couch, he'll be on it. If there's a bed, he'll be under the covers. If there's a person nearby, he'll be pressed up against them, snoring loud enough to convince you there's a freight train in the room. His favorite place to sleep is tucked right beside you, where he can keep an eye on his favorite human — even if they're asleep, too.

This handsome boy has the sweetest face, complete with one warm brown eye and one striking blue eye that somehow make him even more irresistible. Add in those classic bulldog wrinkles, and he's basically impossible to say no to.

His daily routine is pretty well perfected. Morning walk. Breakfast. Window patrol. Nap. Afternoon walk. Treat. Another nap. Maybe wrestle with his foster sister for a few minutes (on his terms, obviously). More lounging. Dinner. Bedtime cuddles.

Speaking of his foster sister, Gong has been living happily with another dog and gets along wonderfully with her. They enjoy wrestling, walking together and hanging out around the house. Gong also wants to say hello to every animal he spots on walks!

He's potty trained, walks beautifully on leash and has earned full free-roam privileges while his foster is at work. Because of his past, crates aren't his favorite place, but he has proven himself to be a perfect gentleman left loose in the house.

Food is another one of Gong's greatest passions. If something hits the floor, he considers it a personal invitation. If you're holding treats, congratulations — you've instantly become the most interesting person in the world.

Gong would be happiest in a home that enjoys life's slower moments. Give him a comfy couch, a couple of short daily walks, plenty of snacks and someone who won't mind sharing the bed, and he'll think he's won the lottery.

If you've been searching for a loyal shadow with adorable mismatched eyes, championship-level cuddling skills and enough personality to keep you laughing every day, Gong (Gustopher, Gus Gus, Gong Gong, Go Go) might just be your perfect match.
