Dexter is a fun-loving guy with lots of puppy energy who’s ready to leap into your heart! Quite literally – you should see this guy’s acrobatics!

Dexter is a very athletic and agile dog! He’d make a great agility or sport dog with the height that he can get, which is quite impressive for a guy his size. His greatest loves in life are playtime, belly rubs, other dogs and toys. Naturally, he’s also a big fan of fetch! Dexter is a truly joyful pup who can’t wait for his new person to show him the world. He’s confident and outgoing and ready for any adventure you may bring him on!

When Dexter goes on weekend getaways with our foster caregivers, he likes to make himself right at home! He adjusts quickly and easily to any new routine. Don’t be surprised if the first thing Dexter does when he meets you is flop right on over for a belly rub!

As Dexter is still a young guy, his ideal adopter would help him continue to work on his doggy manners. He’s very smart and eager to learn! He already knows basic commands like “sit,” and he can’t wait to learn more with you. On his foster sleepovers, it was also noted that he did well with both crate training and housetraining.

Here at the Cruelty Recovery Center, Dexter is a playgroup superstar and he’s done well playing with all kinds of canine friends. He’s been an excellent helper dog for socializing with shyer dogs and even with puppies. He was even an MVP (most valuable pup) in the CRC’s Big Game! Check out how great he looks in a football jersey in the photo with his teammate. If there are any potential canine siblings in your home, a meet-and-greet is still recommended to make sure they are a good match.

If you’d love someone to learn and grow with, Dexter is your dog! Fill out an adoption application to schedule an appointment.

Please note that our meet-and-greets are by appointment only.
