Cobalt

Cobalt is truly one-of-a-kind! This big, lovable guy is a total staff favorite who melts for belly rubs and gives the warmest, most sincere hugs. He has the “gentle giant” thing down — sweet, soft and happiest when he’s close to his people. He’s especially content if he gets to curl up next to you on the floor or couch.
Since arriving in his foster home, we’ve learned even more about what makes Cobalt special. When it comes to other large animals, he has a single-child personality — he prefers having space in his personal bubble. But with humans? He’s all in. He absolutely lives for physical and verbal affection and just wants to be near you. If you’re in the room, he’s a happy guy.
Cobalt is fully housetrained, crate trained and thrives on routine. He’s quiet and low-energy in the home, making him a great companion for someone who appreciates a mellow buddy. He’s not super motivated by food or toys — for him, your love and attention are the ultimate reward!
Cobalt gets along great with cats and small dogs, and while he’s not one for high-energy play, he coexists calmly with other respectful animals. He enjoys lounging in a cozy yard and a few short walks a day — three is ideal!
Cobalt has mild hip dysplasia, which is being managed with weight loss and supportive care. His ideal home will help him stick to a structured routine that includes gentle exercise, a healthy diet and lots of love.
If you're looking for a calm, affectionate companion who just wants to be your shadow and soak up your love, Cobalt is your guy. Fill out an adoption application and come meet your new best friend!
