Fundraising Tips:
- Customize your fundraising campaign with a personal photo and tell your family and friends why you are choosing to fundraise for the ASPCA.
- Spread the word about your fundraising campaign by promoting it on your social media, sending out emails, and including it in any invitations if it's an event.
- Consider making the first donation yourself to show that you are dedicated to the cause.
- If you are organizing a fundraising event, make sure people know that if they can’t attend, they can still show their support by making a donation.
- The number one reason people don’t give to fundraisers is because they weren’t asked to donate. Make sure to ask everyone! It’s also okay to send reminders.
- Don’t forget to say “Thank you!” to people who have donated. Posting a thank you message to social media helps remind your friends and family to make their donations too.

I’m hosting a fundraiser event. Can supporters pay by check or cash?
Online donations are the most efficient way for the ASPCA to receive the funds and put them to immediate use to save animals’ lives. However, if you or the donor is more comfortable paying by check, please make the check payable to the ASPCA and mail it to us at the following address:

It is not recommended to send cash. Please send cash gifts as money orders payable to the ASPCA.
I’m hosting a fundraiser at my school and would like an ASPCA representative to attend. Is this possible?
We are unable to honor the high volume of requests we receive for attending events. Please visit our website aspca.org for more information about our lifesaving work.
How do I make sure that any money raised goes to my hometown shelter?
Unfortunately, your gift cannot be restricted to a specific area. Please be assured that the ASPCA will use your gift in the area of greatest need to help the animals we serve.
