Are you looking for a spunky guy to spice up your mundane daily routine? Then Brian is the dog for you! This friendly five-year-old pup is looking for a loving home where he can enjoy the company of his favorite people. He’s looking for a cozy lap to curl up in, and people he can give plenty of affection to.
Big Fan of: People! Brian loves to spend quality time with his favorite people. While Brian loves spending time with his human friends, when he’s out on his leash, he will sometimes bark at other dogs and pull so that he can sniff them. The Behavior team recommends that Brian should meet any new dog friends in a one-on-one setting first. They can also give you some tips on how to help Brian walk politely on his leash.
Special Features: Brian is eager to learn more of his basic manners, especially when there’s a tasty treat involved as an incentive! Brian has some house training under his belt, but the Behavior staff will help provide guidance to help him remember to only use the bathroom outside. Brian suffers from a condition known as Collapsed Trachea—a condition commonly found in small dogs that may cause him to have some difficulties breathing—and has a slight heart murmur. While these things may sound scary, they are extremely manageable. Our medical staff can help ease any concerns you may have about Brian’s health, and help you manage it best.
Dream Home: Brian would do best in a home where he is the only dog. He can join a home with children of all ages, and would love a family that will still work to train him and make sure he gets plenty of exercise.
