Could Bosco be your boy? Sweet and affectionate, this pup is on the hunt for humans who are the same. He’s the type of guy who’s devoted to his people and smart as a whip! He’s already housetrained and even knows sit, down and come! Bosco is looking to be the only dog in a home outside the city. Can you make his suburban dreams come true?

Big fan of: Talking! Beagles are known for their talkative traits, and Bosco fits the mold. If he has an opinion, you’re sure to hear it! Aside from his love of chit-chatting, Bosco also has a love of walks. No dog knows how to use their nose as well as Bosco does, and that’s evident during his beloved long sniffy walks. When he isn’t strutting his stuff, Bosco sometimes enjoys wresting with a stuffed toy, but his favorite hobby is definitely cuddling! Bosco adores lounging on the couch and curling up next to his favorite people—especially when lots of love, scratches, and rubs are involved!

Working on: Learning that alone time is a good thing. In his foster home, Bosco is reported to bark or whine frequently—more so when he’s frustrated or left alone. To help him overcome this anxiety, Bosco’s adopters should not leave him alone for the first 24-48 hours, and slowly work up the amount of time Bosco is by himself. Bosco isn’t too keen on other dogs and tends to bark or lunge at them while out for walks. This can be managed with delicious treats and walking routes where he is less likely to see other pups, but Bosco would benefit from working on his doggy skills with a certified trainer.

Dream home: Bosco isn’t a big fan of the big city, so he’s looking for a home in a low-traffic, suburban area—preferably one with a backyard where he can sniff and explore to his heart’s content! Bosco’s adopters need to be willing to provide him with enriching experiences to help reduce stress and anxiety, like sniffy walks, food dispensing toys, play and chews, and help him overcome his fear of being left alone. Bosco should be the only dog in the home and would like to live with kids ages 8 and up. Think Bosco may be the pup for you? Fill out our Dog Adoption Survey!
