Yarrow

Yarrow is an incredibly sweet boy whose true personality hides under his shy exterior! When Yarrow first arrived at the ASPCA, he would stay huddled in the back of his kennel, nervously watching anything and everything happening near him. After a few days of love and treats, we could visibly see Yarrow start to relax and show his true colors! Yarrow still enjoys curling up in cozy nooks, like in boxes and behind chairs, but when Yarrow sees a human friend approach he comes out to greet them excitedly and immediately asks for pets! Yarrow loves nothing more than scratches, and on one occasion has even rolled around so much while getting pets that he almost rolled out of his kennel! He also enjoys sitting near ASPCA staff members while they work—so if you’re looking for a quiet personal assistant to give you moral support on stressful video calls, Yarrow may be your man.

Yarrow is looking for an adopter who understands that he will be nervous when first arriving home and is willing to give him the time and space he needs. Because Yarrow is a bit sensitive, small children may be too much for him, so a home with teens and up would be best. Yarrow has previously lived with other cats but it’s unknown if he enjoyed their company.
