There’s so much to say about Skylar! This lady has come a long way from her first days at the Adoption Center. Initially a very fearful girl, Skylar would often be found hiding, tucked away in the very back of any small nook she could find. But, look at her now! Skylar will still need time and confinement as she adjusts to her a home and appreciates people who let her come to them instead of vice versa. But she has a big personality underneath that’s just waiting to come out. A true lap cat, Skylar can almost always be found plopped on top of her human friends who are nearby—and to appease her, you have to give her plenty of scratches while she’s there. And don’t think you’re off the hook if you’re standing up! Skylar can often be found “dolphining” against your legs or meowing to ask for attention. When she isn’t busy with her people, Skylar enjoys longingly gazing out the window at the New York City skyline.

Skylar is looking for a quiet home with an experienced cat adopter and kids ages 14 and up. She loves being the queen of the castle and should be the only kitty in the home. She’s previously lived with dogs and was not a fan. If you think Skylar may be your match, come meet her today!
