Looking for “a wonderful, calm kitty?” If so, we’ve got to introduce you to Sheila—since that’s how her foster caregiver describes her! Sheila took a good few weeks to settle into her comfy foster digs, but once she became comfortable, she became quite the sight to see. Loud noises and fast movements still spook Sheila a bit, but something that doesn’t spook her? Scratches! Sheila’s foster mom notes that, “Sheila really enjoys head and butt scratches and will purr and knead on you when she's happy. If you stop petting her, she'll push into you or gently place her paw on you to request more pets. If you still ignore Sheila, she'll even let out a tiny scream! She's happiest when she's getting all the pets she deserves.” Aside from scratches, Sheila has one other favorite thing—catnip! Any toy that has catnip infused in it automatically becomes Sheila’s favorite. But she never says no to a game of chase with a ball toy, either! After playtime, Sheila is ready to relax. She loves hanging out and napping in small, cozy nooks, on soft beds, on windowsills and even in her carrier!

Sheila is looking for a person who’s ready to look past her shyness and love her for the wonderful girl she is! Her new adopter should be ready, willing and able to give Sheila a few weeks to herself before expecting her to show her true colors.
