Meet Sandra! There’s something incredibly special about senior cats. Perhaps it’s the fact that they’re often already used to people, or that they tend to be calmer, or that—frankly—they’re usually just pretty darn sweet. As a 12-year-old lady, Sandra checks all of those boxes. We are still learning about this beautiful lady, but we can tell she is a wonderful cat. Sandra is friendly with anyone whether they’re a friend or stranger. Gentle pets are always appreciated—and we truly mean always! How does she ask for them? With lots and lots of meows, of course! She also seems to enjoy being brushed, which is probably part of the reason why she’s so beautiful.

We’re still getting to know Sandra inside and out—but we know that she’s ready for a home! She’d love an adopter who’s ready to keep learning about what a beautiful soul she is. Just like people, kitties also sometimes have changes to their health as they get older. Sandra has chronic kidney disease, which isn’t uncommon in older cats. She’ll need to be on a special prescription diet for life, and our Matchmakers would be happy to speak with potential adopters about how to manage this condition.
