There’s no better feeling for ASPCA staff than seeing a shy cat begin to blossom, and Piper is one of those kitties! When Piper first arrived at the Adoption Center, she was terrified, huddling in the very back of her kennel underneath the blankets. But, with time, love and treats Piper has made tremendous progress! She can still be shy around strangers and in new places, but there’s no doubt that this girl has learned to absolutely love pets and scratches and interacting with people. When she’s comfortable, Piper even asks for love by rubbing up against objects and your hands—she might even let you hear her great purr when she’s particularly happy.

Piper’s adopter should understand that this girl will be pretty nervous in her new home and need time to settle in. They should be willing to use treats and play to help Piper come out of her shell while allowing her to take things at her own pace. If you think Piper may be the girl for you, fill out our Cat Adoption Survey!
