Paxos has been thriving in a foster home—and now he’s more than ready to thrive in an adoptive home! When this handsome man first arrived at the ASPCA Adoption Center, he was completely shut down, hiding in the very back of his box and freezing whenever a human came near. With time in a foster home, love from his foster mom and a confidence boost from a feline friend, Paxos has started to blossom!
Paxos is still a shy guy and may always be with guests, but he’s learned that life with humans really isn’t so bad. When he isn’t cozying up for a cat nap in one of his favorite small spots, Paxos can be found out and about, rubbing against his foster mom’s legs to ask for a few gentle pets—or, perhaps, to tell her that he’d like to play! Paxos is big on playtime and particularly enjoys gnawing on string toys that have feathers on the end—while very cutely laying on his side! And if his feline foster brother is around to play, too, even better.
Paxos is looking for an adopter who’s ready to love him for the sensitive guy he is! His new family should understand that Paxos will be pretty nervous when first arriving home and that it may take several weeks (or more) for him to begin to show his true colors. Because the other cat in Paxos’ foster home has been an immense help in making him make progress, Paxos must go to a home with another cat. When it comes to humans, teens and up would be this boy’s dream. If you’re interest in adopting Paxos, please fill out our Cat Adoption Survey.
