Imagine sleeping in on a lazy Sunday morning with a cuddly kitty snuggled up next to you—if you adopt Paula, that may just be your life! This friendly gal wants nothing more than to spend as much quality time as she can with her favorite people. Paula can initially be a little shy around strangers, but give her a minute and she warms up quickly! Once you’re Paula’s BFF, she becomes attached to you at the hip—you’re sure to find her waiting at the door when you get home from work, and she may even rub up against your legs or meow at you to let you know how excited she is you’re there! Not only is Paula as big of a lovebug as can be, but she’s also a playful lady! From bird watching to grabbing at wand toys, Paula has a fun side that immediately brings a smile to the face of everyone she meets—especially when she gets hold of a mouse toy! Paula goes crazy for the little fake rodents and loves to bat and chase them across the room.
With a preference for being the queen of the castle, Paula should be the only cat in the home. Call today and ask how to meet her!
As part of our adoption program, some of our feline and canine friends have the opportunity to live in foster homes. This allows our Adoption Center and Foster teams to learn more about each animal’s individual personality and needs, while they are in a more comfortable living space, outside of the shelter setting. Through our foster program, we are able to offer adopters a clearer picture of how their new pet will adjust to life in a permanent home. The goal of the Adoption Ambassador program is for these foster animals to be adopted directly from their foster home.
If you are interested in meeting one of our Adoption Ambassador animals, please first call our Adoptions department at (212) 876-7700 ext. 4120 to make an appointment. Our team will provide you with more information.
