Could you be the Simba to our Nala? An absolutely stunning senior lady, pretty girl Nala has been looking for a home for quite some time—and we’re not sure why it’s taking so long! Nala can be a little nervous in new places, but once she settles in, she morphs into a kitty who’s the perfect mix of social and independent.
Currently residing in an ASPCA office, Nala can often be found cutely napping on top of our sound system—and can you blame her? It’s warm and cozy! Nala enjoys attention on her own terms and does prefer her space, but there’s one surefire way to win her over—approach her slowly and offer lots of baby talk! Nala knows she deserves to be spoiled and loves being spoken to in a voice that evokes that. When she’s enjoying your scratches, Nala loves to offer a tiny little meow and lean into your hands—all while being spoken to softly, of course. After a few strokes, Nala gets her fill and is usually ready to go back to being her independent self!
Nala is a wonderful kitty who would do best with an adopter who appreciates her need for a little space and understands that she’ll take time to adjust to any new home. Nala isn’t shy about letting people know when she’s had enough attention. Because small kids may not understand this, a home with children ages eight and up would probably be best.
