Want to meet Mishi? We can’t blame you! Mishi is the type of gal who can be nervous around new people and in new places. At the ASPCA Adoption Center, she’s had the pleasure of living in a staff member’s office—and this staff member has lots of good things to say about her! She notes that Mishi took some time to feel comfortable enough to come out of hiding, but that once she started to feel safe, she had no issues making it known. “She is very insistent on getting attention once she decides she wants it,” we’re told. “She rubs on your face and has even laid down right in front of me on the desk, basically encircled in my arms!” So, if you’re looking for a good work-from-home buddy or personal assistant, Mishi may be your match. And, if you’re looking for a lap cat, Mishi may also be your match! While she’s not there just yet, her staff member says that “she’ll be a lap cat soon. I’m certain.” With her other favorite folks at the shelter, Mishi has also been happy to get some gentle pets. During scratch sessions, Mishi can sometimes be found purring, rolling onto her side and making biscuits! But, Mishi’s favorite thing of all is cozying up for a cat nap in safe, cozy nooks. That’s where she really prefers to spend her time—especially when she’s had enough of those pesky humans.
Mishi would do best with an adopter who understands that it will take her time to settle in—probably a week or more—and that, overall, she’s the type of lady who needs a slow approach. Because small kids may be too much for this sensitive soul, a home with teens and up would be best. If you’d like to make Mishi yours, please complete our Cat Adoption Survey.
