Meet Miguel! This handsome man is a recent arrival to the ASPCA Adoption Center, so we’re still getting a grasp on who he is inside and out. From what we’ve seen, Miguel is quite an awesome kitty! He’s one of those cats who tends to be a little nervous in new places—so when he first gets home, he may not show his true colors right away. With a little patience, Miguel blossoms into—as described by shelter staff—a “social, affectionate and independent,” guy! Miguel loves getting gentle attention from his human friends in the form of words of affirmation and soft pets. Chowing down on treats is one of his favorite hobbies, as is scratching on his favorite scratching posts! All in all, Miguel is a wonderful, gentle cat and anyone would be lucky to have him.

Miguel is looking for an adopter who lives in a home with teens and up and understands that he may be a little nervous when first arriving home. He’s previously lived well with other cats—and, because he’s shown that he’s his best self around other kitties, must go to a home that has another feline.
