Edwina

Edwina is the type of cat who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to say it! Described by the ASPCA staff who know her best as “a very busy, special girl,” Edwina has a big personality and isn’t afraid to let people see it. A high-energy kitty, Edwina can often be found playing with her favorite toys. During her time in the shelter, Edwina has seemed particularly fond of a butterfly toy and she sometimes even lays on her side and rolls around while trying to catch it. During or after games with her people, Edwina sometimes forgets that using her mouth isn’t appreciated by her human friends. So, Edwina’s new family will need to make sure to use only toys with her, no hands please! When she isn’t playing, Edwina loves curling up on top of cozy blankets, sleeping in bed with her humans and laying in their laps. Edwina enjoys a quick pet here and there, and she’s very clear with her body language about when she would like some and when she’d like you to stop. She knows what she wants, after all—and she wants you to abide by her rules!

Edwina would do best with an adopter who is ready, willing and able to keep her busy with lots of daily interactive playtime! Because she’s still learning when to and when not to use her mouth and paws to send messages, a home with teens and up would be best.
