Arugula is a very special lady! This friendly cat tends to be on the shy side at first and gets a little nervous in new places and when around new people, so slow and steady wins the race with this gal. Give her space and time, and Arugula slowly starts to blossom into her true, kind self! Described by her previous owner as “sweet and gentle,” Arugula is just that. A big fan of a little affection, this kitty absolutely revels in pets and scratches from humans she feels comfortable with. You can probably even catch her following you around! When she’s not acting as your shadow, Arugula is probably off somewhere batting around a ball toy!

Not only is Arugula special in personality, but she’s special physically, too. Likely having had a sever upper respiratory infection as a small kitten, Arugula has been left with permanent damage to her nasal passages. This can cause a runny nose and congestion, and she may be prone to getting kitty colds more easily. However, Arugula isn’t bothered! Affectionately called “the pug of cats” by an ASPCA Adoption Center staff member, this sniffly kitty has no idea she’s different.

Arugula would do best with an adopter who understands she will need time and space as she settles into her new home. She would prefer a quiet household with kids ages 14 and up. If you think Arugula may be your gal, come meet her today!
