We’re all about Alma! This girl came to the ASPCA Adoption Center pretty recently, so we’re still getting to know her. But her previous family described Alma is “a sweetheart” who is “very affectionate, loving and needs a lot of attention.” Alma is noted to be a little timid around strangers, but when it comes to familiar pals, she’s all in. She enjoys scratches—particularly behind the ears—and can often be found following her humans around or curled up in bed with them. Occasional belly rubs are a-okay with this pretty girl, as is playtime! Alma loves most toys, but she especially loves wands and mice. Being brushed is also high up on her list of favorite things, right next to taking long cat naps in safe, cozy spaces!

Alma is looking for an adopter who understands that she will need time to adjust to any new home. One with teens and up and without dogs is her dream! In her previous home Alma was sensitive with her litterbox and had some accidents, potentially because of a not-so-fun relationship with her doggy roommate and a history of feline lower urinary tract disease. Our Matchmakers and veterinarians would be happy to speak with potential adopters about how to best set Alma up for litterbox success! If you’re interested in adopting her, please fill out our Cat Adoption Survey.
