Help Lady! Together we can find her a home for the holidays.

Big fan of: Every person she meets, treats, playing tug-of-war, learning new things, and getting to spend time being stroked and cuddled by her special people.

Not a fan of: Feeling threatened by men, and having to wait such a long time for her forever home. Lady arrived in August 2011, and she’s getting a little tired of life without people to call her own—especially because she has such an affectionate nature and so much love to give.

Special features: She already knows Sit, is highly huggable, and has adorable freckles on her nose and a medium energy level. Lady enjoys play sessions and exercise, but also likes to snuggle up next to you when the time is right.

Other reasons she’s special: Lady was rescued by our Humane Law Enforcement Agents and is itching for the chance to lavish a caring adopter with love. Despite some loss of sight and hearing, and osteoarthritis that is well controlled by daily medication, this resilient pup manages to get around just fine. Now she’s just waiting for that special person to see past her medical issues and make her a part of the family.

Dream home: Experienced adopters, teens and up, who want to give this extra-sweet gal a new lease on life would be wonderful for Lady. Because of her hearing and vision problems, she should not live with cats. She is not very accustomed to other dogs, so she should live either with no other canines or with an exceptionally mellow, friendly, big dog who won’t mind that she doesn’t know the “rules” of doggy social life.
