Aaron

Breed:
Dachshund

Male
Big fan of: His people. Aaron is very affectionate and playful with familiar faces. He is also excited about interacting with other dogs, but may need some guidance to learn how to be a polite playmate.
Not a fan of: New people. Aaron doesn’t feel comfortable with strangers around, especially while he’s eating or playing with his toys. Since Aaron is wary of strangers, he’ll need to meet potential adopters over multiple visits before they take him home.
Special features: Aaron is very eager to learn basic manners and will work hard for the promise of his favorite treat!
Other reasons he’s special: This tiny pup came to the ASPCA with a rare and very serious respiratory condition that can be triggered when he eats. This condition requires daily medication and careful monitoring of Aaron’s diet and food intake. Our medical team can talk with you about Aaron’s special needs.
Dream home: Aaron would do best in a home with experienced adult adopters who will provide him with the TLC and attention that he needs. Aaron will fit in well with other dogs his size. Adopters with previous dachshund experience preferred!
