Office Foster Cat

As part of our adoption program, some of our feline friends have the opportunity to live in ASPCA team members' offices. Living in an office allows cats to have a more comfortable and domestic living space, and allows our behaviorists to learn more about each individual kitty's personality and needs. Through the office foster program, we are able to offer adopters a clearer picture of how their new feline friend will adjust to life in a permanent home. If you're interested in adopting one of our office companion kitties, or for more information, please call (212) 876-7700, ext. 4120.

Tiffany

Tiffany was featured as Pet of the Week on March 23, 2012!

Tiffany is a tiny, affectionate tigress looking for someone who can give her the oodles of love she needs, on her own terms. She’s been waiting months and months for someone to take her home for a long-term snuggle—could it be you?

When we met Tiffany, she started purring immediately in anticipation, looking at us imploringly and pressing the side of her tiny face against the glass of her habitat.

We were in her room to meet another cat, actually, but Tiffany wasn’t having that. She was clearly summoning us, so we decided to indulge her with a few seconds of attention.

Or so we thought. We opened her door, and she head-butted us instantly, and when we scratched her fuzzy chin, she seemed to experience some kind of kitty zen…and wouldn’t let us leave. Attempts to move our hands away from her were futile as she demanded minute after minute of affection.

And then, just like that, Tiffany was done. She signaled to us that we could move along; she had other things to accomplish.

We can’t tell you how much we love this muffin. If she sounds like the kind of cat you’d like in your life, too—and if you’re a person with lots of love to give who knows how to read kitty behavior (so Tiffany can tell you when she’s through with your lovin’ services)—consider this little lady. She likes people and other cats, and she’d love to take up residence in a 12-and-up household.

We think she’s getting tired of shelter life. Won’t you be the one to take her home?

Private Investigator

I'm working undercover to keep an eye on you and your household. You may not even know you're under surveillance. I can vanish into thin air if anyone or anything interferes with my investigation. If you need a cat who knows how to stay out of trouble and will always keep your secrets, I just might take your case.
