Pauly

Meet Pauly, a 1-year-old pup who has mastered two things in life: making friends and getting as close to you as physically possible while doing it! He’s highly social with everyone he meets and operates with full confidence that personal space is optional. If you stop petting him too soon, he will simply lean harder until the situation is corrected.

Pauly has spent time in many of our doggy playgroups and really enjoys rough-and-rowdy play with other dogs. He’s social, interactive and enjoys being part of the action. When things get a little too amped, he takes feedback from other dogs appropriately and resets without much fuss. He’s also very people-focused and will happily rotate between dog play and human attention like it’s a full-time schedule.

Pauly is a medium-energy dog overall — he has a nice balance of “let’s do something fun” and “let’s just hang out.” He walks on leash confidently in familiar areas with a bit of enthusiasm. In new environments, he may pause to take things in before warming up with a little encouragement and time to explore. Once he settles, his favorite thing is simply using his nose and checking everything out at his own pace. He also loves water! Pools, splashing, general chaos — he’s in!

Pauly came to us from a suspected cruelty case, but you’d never guess it from the way he shows up in the world! He is easygoing with handling, and he has done well for a bath. He is a sweet, social young man who just genuinely enjoys people, other dogs and being included in whatever’s going on.
