Leapfrog

Life is an adventure, so you might as well leap into it with Leapfrog! She is just like her namesake — a bouncy, joyful girl who springs through life with all four paws in the air! This beautiful, brown sweetheart has the cutest little hop when she gets excited, and her enthusiasm for life is absolutely contagious. If you’re looking for a dog who brings the fun, you’ve found her.
Leapfrog loves other dogs and would be thrilled to have a playful canine sibling of her own. In fact, she holds our record of attending the most doggy playgroups! She enjoys run-and-chase games, rough-and-tumble wrestling and has even been a “helper dog” for new pups and youngsters learning their manners. She’s basically the recess monitor, but the adorable version!
Leapfrog came to us through a partner facility’s fearful dog program, but it didn’t take her long to show us that she was ready to leap forward with confidence. At a recent event at a car dealership, she approached new people with a wagging tail, leaned in happily for pets and explored her surroundings confidently. She’s friendly, social and loves being part of the action!
This froggy girl is energetic and adventurous, always ready to explore the world by your side. Leapfrog enjoys enrichment chews, training sessions and toys, especially plushies she can toss and chase. She happily jumps into vehicles and rides calmly — just make sure she’s buckled in with a dog seatbelt, or she may try to hop up front for extra snuggles!
Leapfrog hopes to find a family committed to continuing her training journey. She’s very food motivated, sits on command beautifully and truly loves learning. She is currently working on crate training and will benefit from a patient, kind adopter who understands she may need time to decompress and adjust to home life. She may have never had a home before, so she’s looking for someone willing to guide her gently as she learns all about couches, routines and cozy evenings.
Leapfrog is heartworm positive but has already completed her full treatment. She’ll just need one month of exercise restriction and is otherwise healthy. She is expected to make a full recovery with no additional treatment needed in the future.
Are you ready for a loyal, lively, slightly spring-loaded best friend who wants to explore the world and then lean into you for full-body affection? Take a leap and adopt Leapfrog! Fill out an adoption application to schedule a meet-and-greet with her today!
