“I wanted a way to support the ASPCA and its mission,” Thom tells us. “As soon as I learned that the ASPCA accepted vehicle donations, I stopped considering any alternatives.”

Thom called our service and before long a driver arrived to collect his vehicle. “The process was easy,” Thom says. “The driver who came to collect the vehicle was friendly and patient.” In September, his vehicle sold for $4,600—significantly higher than he had hoped.

But Thom’s generous gift was more than an incredible contribution for animals in need—it was also a touching way to honor the memory of his beloved cat.

“My old cat Butch was more than a pet to me; he was my only son and my best friend,” he recalls. “I was fortunate to have the means to provide for him, and I’m glad that I can help in some small way to provide for other loving animals as well.”

We are so grateful to people like Thom who are helping make this season brighter for abused, abandoned and neglected animals all across the country. Thom’s tax-deductible contribution will be turned into resources to support our life-saving programs for animals in need.
