Margo McAdams

Senior Director of Philanthropy, Western Region

Margo McAdams joined the ASPCA in 2015 and currently serves as senior director of philanthropy for the western region, where she works with individual donors across 22 states who are passionate about the ASPCA’s work. Margo joined the ASPCA from Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles, where she was director of development. Earlier in her career, she helped a variety of nonprofit organizations secure the resources needed to advance their missions, including the Los Angeles Opera, Occidental College and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Well-versed in Los Angeles's municipal and county animal sheltering system and known for rescuing the occasional stray animal, Margo is able to combine her lifelong passion for animal welfare with her professional expertise to create meaningful change for vulnerable animals.

Margo holds a bachelor’s degree in applied economics from the University of San Francisco, an Executive Master of Leadership degree from the University of Southern California’s Sol Price School of Public Policy, the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential from CFRE International, and a Persuasive Communication Certificate from Cornell University. A passionate traveler, Margo enjoys exploring new places both professionally and personally. She lives in Los Angeles where she enjoys hiking, reading, attending concerts and spending time with her cat, Pepper, and her dog, Dolly.
