Meet Padme, a 4-year-old sweetheart with a gentle soul and an adorable love for life's simple pleasures! At 36 pounds, she's the perfect size for couch cuddles, neighborhood strolls and being your loyal little shadow.

Padme came to us through a suspected cruelty case, so she can be a bit shy when faced with new experiences. But don't let that fool you — this girl is incredibly brave. During a recent weekend foster stay, Padme showed just how resilient she is. While everyday household noises and unfamiliar things initially made her very nervous, she recovered quickly and looked to her foster mom and canine foster brother for reassurance and confidence. Having a patient family willing to show her that the world isn't so scary will help her continue to blossom.

One thing Padme is absolutely sure about is that she loves walks! Her favorite activity is finding a quiet patch of grass to explore with her nose. In fact, her foster reported that she often didn't want her walks to end because she was having so much fun sniffing and enjoying the outdoors.

When she's relaxing at home, Padme adores stuffed animal toys. She loves carrying them around the house and especially enjoys having one nearby when it's time to nap or settle in for the night. She's also a bit of a foodie! While peanut butter and salmon didn't impress her much, cheese quickly became her favorite snack and a great way to win her heart.

Padme also enjoys the company of other dogs and has done well with kind, easygoing canine friends. Her foster brother helped her build confidence, and a calm dog companion in her future home could be a wonderful role model.
