Meet Pinecone, a certified soft boy and part‑time explorer! He came to the ASPCA Behavioral Rehabilitation Center from a home with many other dogs. When he arrived, he was extremely fearful and unsure about the world. With time, patience and the support of our program, he has made remarkable progress. As a graduate of the BRC, his confidence continues to grow, and he is starting to enjoy more of life’s simple comforts.

Pinecone loves going out for walks where he can sniff and take things in at his own pace. When he is feeling brave, he will break into a few joyful zoomies that show just how far he has come. Once Pinecone feels comfortable with someone, he becomes affectionate and sweet, scooting closer for gentle chest and neck pets and giving a little paw tap when he hopes for more attention.

Meeting new people can feel overwhelming for him, so calm introductions work best. A quiet walk, some tasty treats, and relaxed time together help him show his softer side. With other dogs, Pinecone’s style is polite and lowkey. He’s comfortable around mellow companions and enjoys friendly, calm interactions without too much roughhousing.

Pinecone is ready for his next chapter! He is looking for a patient, understanding home that sees how far he’s come and will help him continue to blossom. If you think this gentle graduate might be the right match for you, click the “Submit an Adoption Inquiry” button below!
