Meet Oso! This cheerful guy is so excited to find a home to call his own. He’s looking for a patient adopter who can help him build confidence in their home so that he can become the happy Husky boy we know!

Big fan of: Playtime! Oso loves soft toys, and he will play chase or tug with his favorite people. He is also known to hold his toys in his mouth adorably while he waits to play with his human friends. Oso also loves going for walks and sniffing around in new places, especially if he gets to walk with his dog friends! He enjoys the company of other dogs that share his low-contact playstyle. Running around with his friends is always fun—but so is hanging out together on the couch!

Working on: Crate training. Oso is a social boy and wants to be near his friends, either human or canine. When left alone, he prefers to be contained in a room rather than a crate, but he can stay in a crate if he has lots of enrichment to keep him busy. Here at the Behavioral Rehabilitation Center, Oso spends most of his day in an office space and has been respectful of his surroundings. In the home, positive reinforcement will help when continuing to work on his crate skills.

Dream home: One that will appreciate Oso’s goofy personality, but also understands that it may take some time for him to show it. He is excited for an adopter who will take him for walks or let him run in the yard, and then let him snuggle up for some pets when it’s time to relax. Oso would likely do well with another dog in the home who has a similar playstyle. We would be happy to help introduce Oso to a resident dog here at our facility!
