Meet Kenji! Kenji is a dainty gal who’s ready to find a home to call her own. She’s looking for an adopter who can appreciate her low-key personality.

Big fan of: Naps! Kenji loves any and every sunny spot your home has to offer to curl up into and take a big snooze! Have another playful pup at home? Kenji would have a much easier time gaining confidence if she had another dog to show her the ropes. Did you say, “treats?” Her ears will perk up when you offer her cheese or other delicious snacks. She also loves toys, and her crate.

Working on: Her comfort level with busy areas and commotion. Kenji prefers the suburban lifestyle. Kenji has been noted to be able to hop a four-foot fence or possibly higher, so if you have a fenced in yard, our staff would be happy to talk through ways to work on this! She would love an adopter who wants to continue her training to bring out her best and brightest self. While she was in a foster home, Kenji appeared to enjoy the cat who lived there but the cat was less excited about her. That’s OK though, Kenji didn’t take it personally.

Dream home: Kenji would love a family that understands that going to a new home can be overwhelming, so she may need some time to adjust—but a little patience will go a long way for her to build a bond with you! Kenji would be thrilled to find a home that has at least one dog. She is looking for a dedicated adopter willing to put in the time and effort to continue working on her training!
