Meet Kailua, your future adventure buddy and training teammate!

When Kailua first arrived at the ASPCA Behavioral Rehabilitation Center, she was shy with people and unsure of the world around her. She moved quickly through our fearful dog program and now shows off what a smart, active girl she is. Kailua who absolutely loves learning. She is food motivated, eager to work with her people and already comes with some great skills under her collar.

This higher-energy girl would love an adopter who enjoys walks, hikes, outdoor adventures and continuing her training journey. She thrives when she has opportunities to stay engaged and spend quality time with her people. She forms strong bonds with people and is affectionate and eager to interact once she feels comfortable. She can be a little reserved when meeting someone new, but giving her a chance to take a walk, spend time outdoors and work on a few familiar cues helps build her confidence quickly. Once she knows you're a friend, she's ready to show off everything she's learned.

With other dogs, Kailua is generally social and respectful. She can happily coexist with canine companions and has enjoyed playing with dogs who match her moderate play style.

If you're looking for a bright pup who loves adventure, enjoys learning new skills and is ready to build a strong bond with her person, Kailua is waiting to meet you! She has all the makings of an incredible partner for someone willing to invest in her continued growth and success. To learn more about her, just click the “Submit an Adoption Inquiry”!
