Fontana arrived at the ASPCA Behavioral Rehabilitation Center (BRC) in October 2022, after being rescued from living on a rural property with many other dogs. She can be a little shy at first, but warms up to new friends quickly, especially if they have treats to share! She loves snuggling up and getting scratches from her favorite people. Fontana is ready to find a loving home and can’t wait to meet her person!

Big fan of: Hanging out with people! Fontana really enjoys spending time with familiar people and will follow you everywhere, especially if you give her tasty snacks. She makes a great office buddy and will curl up by your feet on a cozy dog bed. Fontana likes to walk on-leash and enjoys sniffing around at the park. She gets along with other calm dogs and will occasionally get the zoomies with her canine pals, but is also content to have a quiet day on the couch. Fontana loves her plush toys! You will see her shaking them, tossing them in the air and flinging them across the room when she’s having fun!

Working on: Her confidence. Fontana is still shy when she first meets new people, so she is looking for a patient adopter who will keep her feeling safe as she adjusts to her new routine. She loves treats—almost too much—so getting her fit and active will be important for her long-term health!

Dream home: Fontana is hoping for a family who understands that going to a new home can be scary, so it may take a little while before her personality starts to shine through. Once she gets to know you, she will keep you entertained with her silliness and love of all things snack related.
